NRL team lists are officially in for round nine, meaning it's time to tidy up your Supercoach team.
Looking at the lineups and casualty ward, Sporting News has you covered for players you need to target and avoid for your Supercoach selections.
Here are the buy, hold and sells heading into round nine.
BUY
CHRISTIAN TUIPULOTU
PRICE | PRICE CHANGE | BREAK EVEN |
---|---|---|
$292,600 | +$68.8k | -44 |
The return of Tom Trbojevic, suddenly makes Manly's CTW's become hugely relevant again. Tuipulotu has gradually improved, since first appearing in round five. He produced his highest score of 84 last week and that was without Turbo whizzing around trying to put it on a platter for his backline. Perhaps, the youngster shapes as a better 'cheapie' option than South Sydney's Isaiah Tass, who has less job security.
CODY WALKER
PRICE | PRICE CHANGE | BREAK EVEN |
---|---|---|
$514,500 | +$50.9k | -8 |
Earlier in the season, it wasn't looking good. Walker struggled to hit the mark with his passing, while his running game was non-existent. However, the five-eighth has recently showcased why he is such a Supercoach gun. He notched 99 points last week, thanks to one try and two assists. Take a quick look at South Sydney's draw and you'll see why he has become an almost unmissable target. The Bunnies face a host of teams below them over the next month, with Walker having plenty of opportunity to pile on the points and increase his price tag.
HOLD
PAYNE HAAS
PRICE | PRICE CHANGE | BREAK EVEN |
---|---|---|
$648,800 | -$16k | 90 |
Haas is one of the few standouts in the FRF position, where value is difficult to find. Hold onto him and hope that his shoulder complaint isn't too serious because the big prop is as consistent as they come. He has scored 91, 67, 67, 83, 74 and 73 throughout the opening few months of the season. The only blemish on his record is last week's injury-interrupted 48.
TAYLAN MAY
PRICE | PRICE CHANGE | BREAK EVEN |
---|---|---|
$526,400 | -$6.3k | 74 |
The potential return of Brian To'o has thrown a spanner in the works. If the NSW winger does come back on Friday, will May be cut from the team? More than likely, the exciting youngster will actually be shifted over to the right-hand side. This poses more questions though, such as will he be as valuable while not stationed on the Panthers lethal left edge? Nonetheless, we're still holding for now.
SELL
DAVID FIFITA
PRICE | PRICE CHANGE | BREAK EVEN |
---|---|---|
$709,700 | -$43k | 164 |
Despite scoring centuries in rounds five and six, Fifita has flattered to deceive in a rotten Titans side. He was played at centre a fortnight ago and scored 42, before last week’s disaster of 25. He’s averaged just 0.6 PPM this season and - coupled with his injury - the Queenslander is a definite sell. One of the best trades could be to Jason Taumalolo who won’t miss games through the Origin period and covers the approaching bye round.
BRAD SCHNEIDER
PRICE | PRICE CHANGE | BREAK EVEN |
---|---|---|
$390,700 | -$1.2k | 54 |
Time to take the money and run. The 'cheapie' has generated over $200k profit since the start of the season, but it looks like Schneider has hit the ceiling. He topped out with 79 in round three, yet was always a solid performer. However, the Raiders are in dire straits and points may be difficult to come by in the next few weeks, due to a horror draw. Jack Wighton's suspension only exacerbates matters.
