Phil 'Gus' Gould has lashed out again at the NRL over the severe suspension handed down to Brisbane Broncos second rower Tevita Pangai Junior this week.
Pangai Junior's season is likely over after he was hit with a five-match ban for a crusher tackle during Brisbane's win over Penrith on Friday night.
The Broncos enforcer was initially hit with a grade two charge, with his three-match ban increased due to carryover points.
Pangai Junior attempted to have the five-match suspension downgraded at the judiciary on Tuesday night, but the panel took just five minutes to throw his case out.

It means he won't play again in 2019 unless the Broncos make it to the third week of the finals.
Speaking on his Six Tackles with Gus podcast this week, Gould was furious with the ruling and the outcome.
"Well done to all concerned. Well done, well done, that's just what we want - a player out for five weeks on the eve of the finals - well done" the Channel Nine commentator said sarcastically.
"I hope they're happy. Well done, congratulations, you got what you wanted.
"I don't know what point you're trying to make."
Gus said he felt a sin binning would have been a more appropriate punishment, and the incident points to larger issues in the game.
"It's much bigger than this tackle - I don't know where they're going with all this," he said.
"I don't know what's motivated it and I don't know who's driving it. I don't know why they're driving it and I don't know what they think it should look like.
"Tell us where you're going with all this. What's the end product?
"What is it you're trying to eradicate?
"What is it you're trying to stop in the game? Anything that's remotely hard? Anything that's remotely physical?
"I don't know where they're going with it. I really don't, but they're on a mission. They're on a mission.
"They'll be applauding down there. They got a bloke for five weeks, that'll make their day.
"They won't stop now, they'll just keep going. Don't bump into anyone. Whatever you do, don't bump into anyone."
Gould's spray comes a few days after his post-match analysis, in which he predicted that rugby league would die out in 20 years if incidents like TPJ's continue.
