Round 14 Judiciary Wrap: Proctor hit by MRC, Marschke brainsnap punished image

Following the State of Origin opener that saw New South Wales demolish Queensland, club football is back in full-swing this weekend.

Moeaki Fotuaika was the only player from Origin to cop a suspension, ruling him out for one game.

Friday night's clashes saw just one charge handed down by the match review commitee, with Panthers hooker Api Koroisau set to escape with a fine for a trip on Shaun Johnson.

See below for all the charges from round 14.

CAMERON MUNSTER ESCAPES SUSPENSION WITH FINE

For the second time in a week, Storm star Cameron Munster has escaped suspension for kicking an opponent - this time Roger Tuivasa-Sheck.

Munster was hit with a grad1 contrary conduct charge, with a $1,500 base penalty.

With 50 per cent loading ror a similar offence in the last years, Munster can walk away paying $1,700 with an early plea.

While a second incident in the space of a week doesn't read particularly well, the vision appeared to confirm it was a minor incident.

“He does have history, he did it a couple of times in a grand final and two times this week,” Cooper Cronk said on Fox League on Sunday night.

“He is skating on thin ice in terms of the fine system, but I think he’ll be right.”

DRAGONS LOCK COPS FINE FOR REF CONTACT

Jackson Ford has been sanctioned by the match review committee after making contact with referee Gerard Sutton in the Dragons' loss to the Bulldogs on Monday.

With an early guilty plea, the lock forward can accept a $1350 fine.

MAIKA SIVO FACING A TWO-GAME SUSPENSION FOR HIGH SHOT

The Parramatta star has been hit with a grade two careless high tackle charge for his shot on Adam Dueihi during the Eels' win on Sunday night.

He will miss one game with an early guilty plea or two maches should he fight the charge and lose.

TOM AMONE, LUKE BROOKS AND ISAIAH PAPALI'I ALL FACE FANS

Amone and Papali'i can escape with $1,500 fines, or $1,150 with an early plea, for their contrary conduct charges.

Brooks' dangerous throw charge also drew a $1,500 fine, with 20 per cent loading meaning Brooks' early plea will cost him $1,350.

KEVIN PROCTOR'S HIGH SHOT CATCHES MRC'S EYE

He may have escaped a sin-binning at the time but Titans backrower Kevin Proctor hasn't escaped the MRC, being hit with a grade 2 careles high tackle charge in the wake of the Titans' almost-incredible 35-34 los to the Roosters on Saturday night.

Proctor's 16th minute shot on Joey Manu will see him spend two weeks on the sideline as a base penalty and one match plus 80 carryover points should he take the early plea.

The incident didn't go unnoticed by Roosters coach Trent Robinson, who seemed miffed that the referee took Manu apparent lack of injury as a factor in keeping Proctor on the field.

“The issue I have is a head high would have been sent to the bin two weeks ago, but we don’t tell our players to lie down,” Robinson said in his post-match press conference.

“The commentating around it from referees is ‘oh no, they’ve stood up, i’m ok with that,’

“So, what they’re saying is lie down."

BEN MARSCHKE BRAIN SNAP COULD SEE THREE-WEEK BAN

Marschke is almost certain not to challenge the ban but could challenge the severity.

Marschle was sin-binned in the 58th minute for an elbow to the head of Jamal Fogarty during a charge down attempt.

The utility was hit with a grade 2 dangerous contact to the head/neck, worth 300 points.

Should he take the early plea, he'll serve a two-game ban and cop 25 carryover points.

KOBE HETHERINGTON EARNS FINE FOR SEND-OFF

Hetherington could consider himself unlucky to have been sent from the field during the Broncos' 38-16 loss at GIO Stadium for a high shot on Corey Harawira-Naera.

His grade 1 careless high tackle charge will see him facing a $1,500 fine should he choose not to challenge the charge.

JWH AND MITCH BARNETT ESCAPE SUSPENSION WITH FINES

Jared Waerea-Hargreaves' incredible 80-minute effort in his 250th game was somewhat marred by a 7th minute high shot on the Titans Greg Marzhew.

With a base penalty of $1,500, the Roosters enforcer has prior similar and non-similar charges to his name so can either cop a $2,550 fine with 70 per cent loading or $1,900 with the early plea.

Barnett earned a grade 1 contrary conduct charge during the Knights' 24-10 loss to the Rabbitohs on Saturday night.

He can walk away with a $1,500 fine or $1,150 should he take the early plea.

PANTHERS HOOKER API KOROISAU CHARGED FOR TRIPPING

Penrith Panthers hooker Api Koroisau has been charged for tripping, but will escape suspension.

Fresh off 18th man duties for the NSW Origin side, Koroisau was cited by the match review committee following an incident involving Shaun Johnson in the second half of the Panthers' loss to Cronulla.

Johnson had placed a well-weighed grubber kick into the Penrith in-goal area, but was tripped up by Koroisau as he chased through.

The officials missed the incident and Koroisau was not penalised at the time.

Koroisau was also placed on report for a dangerous throw in the first half by Ashley Klein, but the match review committee have opted not to charge him for that incident.
