Another weekend of NRL action is in the books and the finishing line is almost in sight.

The elite teams are cementing their spots at the top of the ladder, while a battle for eighth place is underway.

Here's the Sporting News Round 20 NRL Team of the Week.

FULLBACK - JAMES TEDESCO

Teddy's pretty much earned a permanent spot in the team every week. Sunday's performance was another classic.

WINGERS - DANIEL TUPOU AND NICK MEANY

Two class players in two big wins on the weekend. Three tries between them, while Meany kicked three conversions from three attempts.

CENTRES - JOSEPH MANU AND LATRELL MITCHELL

This week's side features plenty of Roosters - so what?! They showed off their finals potential by beating the Raiders in Canberra on Sunday.

FIVE-EIGHTH - CAMERON MUNSTER

His second half try against the Bunnies was elite.

HALFBACK - NATHAN CLEARY

Stepped up in James Maloney's absence as the Panthers beat Cronulla.

Nathan Cleary

PROPS - NELSON ASOFA SOLOMONA AND PAYNE HAAS

Two more blokes who have found a regular spot in this side.

HOOKER - CAMERON SMITH

Surely it's a two-horse race between Smith and Tedesco for this year's Dally M?

SECOND-ROWERS - MANU MA'U AND JOSH JACKSON

Ma'u took on David Klemmer and the rest of the Knights side in another good win for the Eels, while Jackson led from the front as the Dogs downed the Tigers.

LOCK - NATHAN BROWN

Low-key one of the best players of 2019.
