The Bulldogs have granted Rhye Martin an immediate release, with the forward set to head overseas.
Martin requested a release on Sunday, just hours before the June 30 deadline.
The 26-year-old had been out of favour with Bulldogs caoch Dean Pay, and the club granted him an early release on Sunday afternoon.
Sitting dead last on the table with just three wins from 14 games so far in 2019, the Dogs were preparing to take on the Sharks at ANZ Stadium when the news broke.

Martin was named on the bench, but was left out of the matchday squad when it was finalised an hour before kick-off.
It is understood Martin has agreed to a two-year deal with Leeds in the English Super League.
In trading to the Rhinos, Martin has switched one wooden spoon contender for another, with Leeds anchored to the foot of the Super League table with six wins in 19 starts.
Martin debuted for the Bulldogs in 2018, playing 14 games in his rookie season.
He scored four tries and kicked 36 goals from 38 attempts for a remarkable 94.74% accuracy.
In his 11 games for the club in 2019, Martin has failed to cross the tryline.
