NASCAR driver Jamie Dick treated for unspecified health issue after race image

Jamie Dick, a driver in NASCAR's Xfinity Series, was in an Arizona hospital on Sunday. Few details were offered, but Dick's condition was not related to Saturday's Phoenix race, according to media reports.

Dick, 26, was 28th in Saturday's Axalta Faster. Tougher. Brighter. 200 at Phoenix International Raceway. He was taken to the infield care facility before being moved to West Valley Hospital, according to Fox Sports.

His team, Viva Motorsports said Dick's condition was "a little more serious" than a typical illness. Doctors know what is wrong, the team said. Tests were run Sunday.

Dick was reported to be in good spirits and "doing better than he should."

After Saturday's race, Dick's first words were: "I need a cold rag and water." Saturday was the hot in Arizona, but Viv Motorsports representative Kate Richer heat could have played in role in Dick's problem.

Dick is from El Paso, Texas, and is based in North Carolina. Saturday was Dick's second race of the 2015 Xfinity Series season and his 57th career start. He is owner of Viva Motorsports.
