WATCH: ARCA car flies off track; driver escapes serious injury image

Will Kimmel. Heard of him? Odds are, racing fans know him know because of this spectacular crash on Saturday.

Kimmel drives in the ARCA Racing Series, one of the minor stockcar operations. Its tracks are, obviously, more like NASCAR at it roots in many cases. This crash took place at Mobile Speedway in Alabama. Reports say the throttle on Kimmel's car stuck, causing him to lose control in the corner.

Kimmel was OK despite his crash, which included going through an off-track concrete barrier and into the track parking lot.

Here are some Twitter posts on the accident.

According to The Associated Press, Kimmel's car flipped into the speedway’s parking lot on the races ninth lap.

Not only did Kimmel, 26, of Sellersburg, Ind., escape serious injury, but the only damage his car did in the parking lot was a scratch on a pickup truck's trailer hitch.

Kimmel posted video on his Facebook page showing damage to his car.

Hats off to Yahoo! Sports, The News and Tribune of Jeffersonville, Ind.
