Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo believes his team are still behind Mercedes and Ferrari for pace ahead of the Formula One season resuming on Friday.
The Australian and his Red Bull team have battled in the opening four rounds, without a podium finish and sitting fourth in the constructors' championship.
And the three-week break between the Bahrain Grand Prix and Sunday's race in Spain has appeared to make little difference.
"I think at the moment we are not on the pace with the Mercedes and Ferrari," Ricciardo said.
"They are a target for now and even Williams have been a bit quicker so far so we need to crack into the top five for sure and then once we are there, then look towards the top three and then obviously get back on the podium."
Lewis Hamilton has won three of the four races this season to be well clear of Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg in the drivers' championship.
Ricciardo said the Brit would still be hard to beat.
"I mean Lewis is driving really well, he'll be hard to catch. Especially as their car is in a great position as well now," he said.
"But you can tell he's driving with a lot of confidence, and he's feeling good with the equipment he has. He'll be the one to beat definitely."
