Former Supercars champion Shane van Gisbergen has completed his debut season in the NASCAR Xfinity Series – the racing organisation's second-tier circuit.

The 34-year-old moved to the United States to test himself after a long and successful stint Down Under.

He was impressive as a rookie, eliminated from the playoffs after a tight race at the Charlotte Roval.

Unfortunately, fans based in Australia cannot watch the NASCAR Xfinity Series live.

However, there will be several opportunities to see van Gisbergen in action, with the New Zealand driver featuring in seven NASCAR Cup Series races as part of an alliance between Trackhouse and Kaulig Racing.

That series is broadcast in Australia by Foxtel, which means it is available to watch on television via Fox Sports and to stream through Foxtel Go or Kayo Sports.

Gisbergen is set to compete in the following NASCAR Cup Series races:

  • Circuit of the Americas - March 25
  • Talladega Superspeedway - April 22 / October 7
  • Charlotte Motor Speedway - May 29
  • Chicago Street Race - July 8
  • Watkins Glen International - September 16
  • Las Vegas Motor Speedway - October 20

Shane van Gisbergen NASCAR results

After a mixed start to life in NASCAR with Kaulig Racing, Van Gisbergen rapidly improved, winning two consecutive races in June, and a third to start July.

The Aussie has since been eliminated from the playoffs, after losing a tight race in Charlotte.

He claimed his first race win on June 2, taking out the Pacific Office Automation 147, before winning the Sonoma 250 a week later, and Chicago's The Loop 110 a month later.
