This year's event is again taking place at the Surfers Paradise Street Circuit.

Located between Surfers Paradise and Main Beach, the circuit surrounds the Nerang River and runs alongside the iconic sandy Gold Coast coastline.

Supercars drivers reach speeds of up to 265 km/h around the 2.96 km track.

The circuit was first used in 1991 and was shortened to its current length in 2010.
