Alex Pereira and Jamahal Hill are ready to put on a show at UFC 300 on April 13. The celebratory event is in Las Vegas and airs on ESPN+ PPV in the U.S.

Both fighters have enlisted the help of friends, fellow fighters, and former opponents of the opposition. Pereira has worked with former UFC light heavyweight champion Glover Teixeira, which has become a winning combination. Teixeira lost the belt against Hill at UFC 283 in 2023.

Meanwhile, Hill asked for the services of Israel Adesanya, a man Pereira knows well going back to their days in GLORY Kickboxing. They have faced off multiple times, with Adesanya beating him only once, at UFC 287. Adesanya and Pereira are intertwined forever. Teixeira believes Adesanya can make a difference in Hill’s game plan, but not by much.

“Izzy beat Alex once, how many times is he going to fight Alex in that fight, and how many times is that going to turn on Izzy’s side?” Teixeira asked CBS Sports' Shakiel Mahjouri via Bloody Elbow. “Izzy is a great fighter, and for sure, if he’s in anybody’s corner, he’s going to be a help. Anybody that comes in and sees something different at a high level, he can be a help for sure.

"It’s just another help if you say Izzy or Jon Jones or some high-level guys, it’s all going to help because of the experience, but, it’s not something that’s going to be magic.”

Hill fights for the first time since rupturing his Achilles, forcing him to relinquish the light heavyweight title. He hopes to win it back against a two-division champion in Pereira.
