Alexander Volkanovski looks to continue his dominant reign as UFC featherweight champion against the rising Ilia Topuria at UFC 298. The fight will be in California and airs on Main Event and Kayo on Sunday, February 18 in Australia.

Volkanovski is 13-2 with the UFC and beat Max Holloway in 2019 for the UFC featherweight title. “The Great” has successfully defended the belt five times, twice against Holloway. The Aussie’s last title defense was a TKO win in July against Yair Rodriguez. He’s coming off an October loss against Islam Makhachev for the UFC lightweight title.

Topuria joined the UFC in 2020 and is 6-0 for the promotion. In his last contest in June, "El Matador" beat Josh Emmett via unanimous decision. He has three wins in the octagon via knockout and one via submission.

“If you think someone can imitate me, that means that your last fight has left you with lasting effects! I will knock you out in the first round. You're old, it's time to retire. It is time to move on and make way for the new era of Topuria,” Topuria said on Twitter/X.
