One of the top pound-for-pound fighters in the world, Israel Adesanya is confident against anybody put in front of him. That may still be the case in his next fight, but the UFC middleweight champion is aware of the skills of Sean Strickland possesses heading into UFC 293 on September 9.

UFC 293 takes place at the Qudos Bank Arena in Australia, the same country where he won the middleweight title. The event airs on ESPN+ in the U.S.

A multi-time kickboxing champion, Adesanya started in MMA in 2012 and has taken the sport by storm. He's beaten the likes of Anderson Silva, Robert Whitaker, Yoel Romero, and rival Alex Pereira. “The Last Stylebender” has only lost one fight in the middleweight division and looks to go on a two-fight win streak against Strickland.

Adesanya has trolled Strickland’s skills, though he knows how tough a fighter he is.

"Threat meter, Strickland, to be honest ... skill-wise, I give him a three. Skill-wise, I give him a three," Adesanya told Combat TV via DAZN. "A man with nothing to lose and everything to gain is a dangerous man, so that's why I take him seriously, that's why I put in the work, that's why I've been grinding. Skill-wise, not even close. But a man with nothing to lose and everything to gain is a dangerous man, so I take him very seriously, and I'm going to show him that I'm the dangerous man.”

Strickland is 14-5 with the UFC and is 2-1 in his last three fights. On a two-fight win streak, “Tarzan” is looking to beat the odds (currently the +400 underdog per Caesars) in his first attempt at gold.
