The final UFC event of 2016 takes place on Friday night as UFC 207 goes live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The main event features Amanda Nunes (13-4) defending the women's bantamweight title against former 135-pound titleholder, Ronda Rousey (12-1). The co-main event features another title fight as Dominick Cruz defends the bantamweight belt against rising contender, Cody Garbrandt.

Rousey, 29, hasn't fought in 13 months after suffering the first loss of her career in a brutal knockout at the hands of Holly Holm. After deciding that she'd given too much time to media and fans, the superstar did minimal media in the lead-up to UFC 207. She hasn't appeared during fight week except for Friday at the ceremonial weigh-ins.

Nunes, 28, made history when she submitted Miesha Tate to capture the gold at UFC 200 in July, becoming the first openly gay fighter to win a UFC title. The American Top Team fighter has won four consecutive fights with three of those wins by stoppage.

The lead-up to Cruz and Garbrandt has been very intense. On the night of UFC on Fox 22, interviews were conducted with both fighters at separate sections of the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento. Expletives were tossed back and forth and the hatred between the co-main event fighters appeared very real. In an interview on The Fight Network, Cruz insulted Garbrandt and his girlfriend, which prompted Garbrandt to unsuccessfully try and get into Cruz's room. This past Friday morning at the official weigh-ins, Cruz and Garbrandt had to be separated by security. It didn't stop there, as Garbrandt proceeded to have an altercation with Cruz's teammate, Jeremy Stephens.
