Australia's light-heavyweight Jimmy Crute returns to the Octagon on December 5 against American Jamahal Hill.
Crute has not fought since suffering a TKO loss by doctor stoppage against Anthony Smith at UFC 261.
Smith threw a leg kick causing Crute's peroneal nerve to go out. It was shocking viewing as his right leg shut off causing him to involuntary fall and the fight was called off.
The Aussie has recovered from the nerve damage and is looking for redemption.
Who is Jimmy Crute?
Jimmy Crute is currently ranked at no.13 in the division with a record of 12-2. After winning belts on the Australian circuit, Crute would get an opportunity via the Dana White Contender Series. The UFC president was impressed with the Aussie and he has been signed with the promotion ever since.
From small town Singleton in the Hunter region of NSW, Crute would make the move to Victoria in order to pursue his dream of MMA glory.
Before being signed to the UFC, he was a full-time forklift driver. The Aussie would sell all he owned in his move south and sleep in a van near his gym.
After a successful season in 2020 seeing him win two US $50,000 bonuses, Crute would purchase a home in the country Victorian town of Bendigo.
The 25-year-old is a black belt in Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu and has a wide array of strikes to attack with.
In 2020, the light-heavyweight was ESPN's pick for 'No.1 MMA fighter in the world under the age of 25'. The Aussie has plenty of potential and is no doubt one of the UFC's hottest prospects.

Crute's opponent is American Jamahal Hill who is ranked no.14 at 205-pounds with a record of 8-1.
Hill is returning from his first professional loss against Paul Craig by TKO.
Similarly to Crute, Hill is a product of the Dana White Contender Series. The American is also labelled a future star.
The fight is going to be fireworks as two young and hungry athletes fight for a top 10 spot.
