Featherweight champion Alex Volkanovski has made a name for himself in the mixed martial arts world with an impressive 23-1-0 record.

The Australian UFC star's next fight will be against Max Holloway, with the pair to face off for the third time.

Here is everything you need to know about his upcoming bout.

When is Alex Volkanovski's next fight?

Alex Volkanovski will take on Max Holloway on March 5 (March 6 in Australia) at UFC 272.

A specific fight time is yet to be confirmed.

Volkanovski has defeated Holloway in both of their previous meetings - to win the title at UFC 245, before defending the belt at UFC 251 - awarded via unanimous and split decision respectively.

Despite the two-nil record in the Australian's favour, calls for a third match have persisted since their last meeting.

Where is Alex Volkanovski's next fight?

The trilogy bout between the two best 145-pounders in the world is set to take place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

UFC president Dana White confirmed the location in January.

Since Volkanovski's last fight with Holloway, he defeated Brian Ortega in a fight of the year contender in September, putting him in good stead before they meet in Las Vegas.
