Every now and again at major sporting events, a fan decides to try to steal the show. That was what one fan was hoping to do at Citizens Bank Park during the World Series.
Midway through Game 5 between the Phillies and Astros on Thursday, a fan wearing a red and blue Chase Utley jersey decided to run out onto the field, interrupting play.

As can be seen from side views, he had a grip on the top of the wall but couldn't pull himself up the wall before security arrived to take him away.
Might be harsh but if the streaker at the Phillies game messed up Alvarado’s groove and the Astros scored anything less than the chair wouldn’t have been enough

If the fan was, in fact, a Phillies fan as his jersey would indicate, it was perhaps a less than ideal time to do it. The Phillies were in the field with Jose Alvarado, who struggled in Game 4, on the mound in the top of the sixth inning. The fan forced Alvarado to take a moment to regather himself before pitching to Alex Bregman, who had hit a key two-run double against him in Game 4.

Maybe the fan was hoping to be the Phillies' latest version of the rally squirrel that has made appearances on the field during the postseason. Maybe he was just paying up on a bet. But unlike some past streakers, at least he kept his clothes on.
