Tim Anderson unleashes bizarre Twitter rant in first comments since Jose Ramirez punch image

White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson has broken his silence after he was knocked to the ground by a punch from Guardians star Jose Ramirez on Saturday — it's just not entirely clear what he's saying.

Anderson took the cryptic route in a series of tweets posted Sunday night, making it clear he isn't exactly over the incident that made him the center of attention around baseball.

Anderson spent part of his Saturday night on the infield dirt at Progressive Field after getting into a brawl with Ramirez. Ramirez put his fingers in Anderson's face after a play at second base, but Anderson was the first to raise his fists and threw the first punch. Ramirez threw the last, a right hook that hit Anderson in the jaw and sent him to the ground.

Ramirez spoke after the game, telling reporters that Anderson said he wanted to fight so he had to defend himself, but Anderson took his comments to social media.

Among Anderson's deleted tweets was a shot at, well, just about everyone who has thoughts about the brawl: "And who the f— gave losers opinions," he tweeted before later taking the post down.

The clearest statement from Anderson came in a deleted tweet. The former All-Star admits Ramirez got the best of him but says, "We'll catch up with em later."

The White Sox don't face the Guardians again this season, and Anderson is set to be a free agent this offseason — so it isn't clear when he will be catching with Ramirez, but it won't be on the field until 2024.

While suspensions hadn't been handed out yet, Anderson was held out of Sunday's series finale against Cleveland. Ramirez was in the lineup for the Guardians.
