Seattle Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger is set for a stint on the sidelines after rupturing a testicle.

Haniger has been played on the 10-day injured list after fouling a ball off his groin in Thursday's 8-7 loss to the Houston Astros in MLB.

A timeline for Haniger's absence was not revealed by the Mariners on Friday.

All-Star Haniger is hitting .220 with 15 home runs and 32 RBIs this season.

The 28-year-old, who arrived from the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2017, made his first All-Star appearance for Seattle last season.
