Jackie Bradley Jr. is the third Boston play to announce he won't go to Washington D.C.

The Red Sox outfielder on Wednesday revealed he will not join his team for their White House visit in the spring.

“I don’t get into politics. But I won’t be going,” Bradley told The Boston Globe.

Bradley joins Mookie Betts and Rafael Devers as the only players thus far who have confirmed they won't be in attendance for the ceremony honoring the World Series champions on May 9. Furthermore, Xander Bogaerts and Eduardo Nunez are considering skipping the event.

It's also unclear whether manager Alex Cora will join them. He recently expressed concern about the administration's policies toward Puerto Rico and indicated he might not make the trip.

The Red Sox originally were scheduled to fly to Washington from their spring training base in Fort Myers, Fla., on Feb. 15, two days after pitchers and catchers are set to report to camp. But due to the government shutdown, the trip was postponed.
