Plastic chairs, diving snares and outfield throws that soar through the air. Sunday was another day of beautiful baseball action in the NCAA's regional round of tournament play.

And while several teams saw their dreams dashed and double-eliminated, a lot of greatness happened on the diamond this day. Let's celebrate it. Here are the top five plays from Sunday, with a special extra feature.

Honorable mention

USC's bullpen looked pretty stupid wearing upside down chairs. Until it worked. The Trojans scored two runs that inning. The Aztecs of San Diego State could not recover from the tide-turning, plastic furniture misfortune. They lost 12-11.

5. The Ragin' Cajuns of Louisiana-Lafayette had no reason for rage on Sunday. They beat Houston on a hit-by-pitch. Seriously.

4. Josh Vidales made a smooth slide and throw for Houston before they ultimately lost to Louisiana-Lafayette.

3. Roman Collins hit a go-ahead grand slam to propel Florida Atlantic past South Florida. They ultimately lost the regional to the Florida Gators, but, like flags, grand slams fly forever.

2. Okahoma State's Corey Hassel is a hassle for would-be baserunners. Somewhere, Vladimir Guerrero is smiling. What a throw.

1. Jimi Hendrix made beautiful music. Jeff Hendrix makes beautiful plays. The Oregon State outfielder dazzled once again with this diving grab.
