Marcus Stroman could be wearing a new uniform next season.
The Blue Jays are discussing a deal that would send the 27-year-old right-hander to the Padres, according to a report from MLB.com, which cites unidentified league sources. San Diego is “determined” to acquire at least one more starter this offseason, the report says.

Stroman appeared to address the rumors Saturday on Twitter.

The Reds have also shown interest in dealing for Stroman, according to an earlier report from ESPN.
Stroman struggled with injuries and registered his worst season in 2018. He finished with a 4-9 record and a 5.54 ERA in 102 1/3 innings on the mound.
Stroman has spent all five of his MLB seasons with the Blue Jays. He registered a 3.09 ERA in 201 innings pitched in 2017.
The Padres finished 2018 with a 66-96 record and missed the playoffs for the 12th straight season.
