Marlins incur rain delay because they forgot to use their retractable roof image

The Marlins hosted the Braves in their season opener on Monday afternoon, but the game was delayed due to rainstorms in the Miami area.

Here's the thing. There should never be a rain delay at a Marlins home game. Why? Because they play their games in a stadium with a retractable roof. It does not take very long to close the roof on a stadium. After all, a retractable roof is part of the reason the stadium cost nearly $634 million to build.

But alas, there was a 16-minute delay because the Marlins could not remember to close their retractable roof with the knowledge that rain was en route.
