Sergio Romo is staying in Florida.
The Marlins have signed the 35-year-old reliever to a one-year contact, according to a report from MLB.com, which cites an unidentified league source. The deal is worth $2.5 million, plus incentives.

The Blue Jays also offered Romo a contract, while the Twins and Rangers were considering signing him to a minor-league deal, as well, according to an earlier report from MLB Network.

Romo tallied a 3-4 record and a 4.14 ERA in 73 appearances for the Rays last season. He struck out 75 batters and recorded 25 saves in 67 1/3 innings on the mound. Tampa Bay also used Romo as an "opener" on multiple occasions in 2018.
Romo won three World Series and made an All-Star team while with the Giants from 2008-16. He has also pitched for the Dodgers during his 11-year career.
