The Giants aren't done looking for outfield help after missing out on the Bryce Harper sweepstakes.

San Francisco president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi told the San Francisco Chronicle on Thursday the team is still on the lookout for someone to supplement the outfield, and he's willing to make a trade to get something done.

"I think [the outfield's] an area we’re going to continue to work through Opening Day to try to make sure we have a good and competitive group," Zaidi said.

Zaidi also told the Chronicle the team would be more likely to add a player in a trade rather than in the free-agent market, and would deal a bullpen arm to get it done.

San Francisco's outfield is very thin. Between Steven Duggar, Austin Slater, Mac Williamson and Drew Ferguson, the Giants don't have a single player who has been in a lineup for a full MLB season. Ferguson has yet to have an at-bat in the majors as he was acquired as a Rule 5 pick from the Astros this offseason.

The team could at least use some help with their depth and adding a player is far from out of the question.

If the team is indeed out on the free-agent market that would exclude Adam Jones and Carlos Gonzalez, but it is unclear who would be available in a trade at this point in spring training.

However, the market will begin to take shape as certain players who may be out of options will begin to become available if they fall behind in position battles.

We'll just have to wait to see who those guys might be.
