Manny Machado seems like he wants to play for the Yankees.
There are multiple teams reportedly interested in the 26-year-old star infielder. But, Machado’s first choice is to sign with the Yankees if they meet his asking price, The Athletic’s Jim Bowden reported during an appearance Wednesday on CBS Sports Network.
“Manny Machado’s first choice is the New York Yankees.”

New York has scheduled a meeting with Machado, according to an earlier report from Fancred Sports’ Jon Heyman. But, it is not willing to spend $300 million to sign him, the report says.
Machado, who was sent from the Orioles to the Dodgers before the trade deadline, registered a .297/.367/.538 slash line in 162 total games in 2018. He also hit 37 home runs and tallied 107 RBIs.
Machado has made four All-Star teams and won two Gold Glove awards in his seven-year MLB career.
The Phillies and White Sox are also expected to try and ink Machado to a deal, according to Bowden’s report.
