MLB trade rumors: Giants willing to deal Madison Bumgarner image

Are there any takers for a left-handed pitcher with dominant stuff and a ton of postseason experience? If so, the Giants have the guy for you.

According to an MLB.com report, the Giants are willing to discuss trade proposals for ace Madison Bumgarner, a three-time World Series champion who has won 13 or more games six times in his career.

Teams that have had preliminary discussions about Bumgarner include the Brewers, Phillies and Braves, the report claims.

MLB.com sources say Giants president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi wants at least one top pitching prospect in return for Bumgarner, who is under contract for one more season at $12 million.

Lefties Patrick Corbin and J.A. Happ are still on the open market and could draw more interest than Bumgarner considering teams won’t have to ship off prime prospects for either free agent.

Teams could also be wary of a Bumgarner deal after his second consecutive season of 21 starts or fewer as he's dealt with multiple injuries. In the six seasons prior, Bumgarner, 29, started at least 31 games.
