Lenny Dykstra and star of HBO's "Girls" Lena Dunham engaged in an extremely odd Twitter conversation earlier this week. It started when Dykstra responded to a tweet Dunham made about baseball players.

We won't go through their entire conversation, but they went back-and-forth replying to one another for about an hour. Long story short, the exchange between the two of them gained popularity and filled Dykstra's Twitter mentions with people opposing his viewpoints.

This then lead to an "emergency statement on feminism" by Dykstra on Saturday, and it was very bad.

The live-streamed statement was filled with incredibly sexist remarks by Dykstra. We'll provide a few of them below.

  • "Marriage. This should be a woman's primary goal. Women are happier when they are married with kids and helping their husband's succeed."
  • "Women should work only until they are married, once married, they should quit their job and focus on the family."
  • "Lose 20 pounds. Trust me, you'll look better and feel better. And the chances that your husband will remain attracted to you, will definitely increase."
  • "I look forward to your ideas as we help to make America great again, one sad, lonely woman at a time."

Yeah, let's not hear from Dykstra on women's issues any more.
