Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw is still experiencing some discomfort in his throwing shoulder.

The Dodgers ace played catch during the team's workout on Monday but did not "feel great" afterwards, Los Angeles manager Dave Roberts told reporters.

“Where he is right now, it might be another day or two before he picks it up again,” Roberts said, via The Orange County Register.

Kershaw, a three-time Cy Young winner, has been dealing with an arm issue since last week and had not thrown in four days. The discomfort on Monday seems to have raised some concerns.

"It's not ideal," Roberts said. "You're hoping when he picks up a ball that he comes out of it feeling better. So obviously it's not ideal. But we'll deal with whatever comes our way."

Kershaw posted a 2.73 ERA in 2018. He is 153-69 with a 2.39 ERA in 11 MLB seasons, all with the Dodgers.

The Dodgers will open the regular season on March 28 against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
