Isaiah Thomas returned from a torn labrum in January, but the journeyman guard apparently still is having issues with his right hip.

According to Lakers beat reporter Mike Trudell, Thomas left the team Tuesday (AEDT) and is headed to New York to evaluate options for his troublesome hip. Thomas missed the Lakers' games on Sunday and Tuesday due to hip soreness and there is a chance he could miss the team's final 10 games of the season.
Thomas, 29, was shut down after two games in last season's Eastern Conference finals due to a femoral-acetabular impingement and labral tear. He opted for non-surgical rehab, was traded to the Cavaliers and returned to the court Jan. 2. Cleveland traded the guard to the Lakers at February's trade deadline after dismal play.
Thomas, who is in the final year of a $27 million dollar deal that he signed with the Kings, has played in a total of 32 games this season for the Lakers and Cavaliers. He's averaged 15.2 points on 37 percent shooting with 4.8 assists and 3.0 turnovers per game.
