One of under-fire Origin winger Blake Ferguson’s biggest supporters has acknowledged that the Roosters back shouldn’t be in a Blues jersey on current form.

“I’ve always been a fan of the way Fergo (Blake Ferguson) plays but he has been out of form,” Wendell Sailor said on Triple M’s Saturday NRL Show.
“Even when he played for Australia I don’t think he was that dominant.
“I would be bringing Tom Trbojevic on to that right wing because I think he is a superstar and he can play rep football for the next 10 years.”
In Origin one, Ferguson’s aerial jitters were exposed by the Maroons and there’s a feeling that, although he has the size and strength, he lacks the agility or the skill of modern-day wingers to score those seemingly impossible tries.
Ferguson’s Origin chances appear to hinge on the selection of James Tedesco. If the Tigers fullback is given his maiden Blues jersey, Matt Moylan will miss out and Ferguson will be selected.
However, if Tedesco is chosen on the wing, Moylan will retain his position and Ferguson will be dropped.
