In the bible, Moses parted the Red Sea. In rugby league on Friday night, Mitchell Moses parted the Brisbane Broncos defence.

After a controversial mid-season switch to Parramatta from Wests Tigers, Moses seemingly vindicated his decision to make the move with a few miracle plays of his own as he inspired the Eels to victory.

Though slow to find his feet at his new club with poor defending a continued concern, the 22-year-old showed all his potential in attack against Brisbane snaring three try assists, three line break assists and one line break of his own as he helped Parramatta overturn an early 12-0 deficit and claim a 28-14 win.

Two very deft plays from Moses within five minutes of each other in the first half helped restore parity for the Eels before the former Tiger played a telling final hand in the 74th minute as Kirisome Auva'a crossed to seal victory.

Check out all three of Moses' try assists in the video below.

With Parramatta live-wire Clint Gutherson ruled out for the season, Moses proved he can provide a spark in attack and even be handy goal kicker after converting all five of his attempts on the night.

While Moses may never be able to win over his former fans from the Tigers, if this display is anything to go by, he's set to find more than a few new ones at the Eels.

Moses himself certainly seems to be liking life in a Parramatta shirt.

"Yeh, it was good fun," he told Channel Nine after the game.

"I'm loving it, I'm loving it."

A performance and indeed response that surely goes someway to justifying his mid-season switch to the Eels.
