With Issac Luke darting from dummy half and slicing through already-lethargic Broncos defence, Kata came flying through and was brought down by Darius Boyd.
With the Broncos backpeddling, Shaun Johnson put boot to ball and the football Gods saw this was good, so rewarded him with a bounce so unlikely it had to be ordered from above.
From there, Bodene Thompson accepted a gift two-on-one pass from Johnson and jogged under the sticks.
