Brisbane veteran Corey Parker faces a nervous wait after he appeared to headbutt Gold Coast forward Ryan James in Friday’s fiery elimination final at Suncorp Stadium.

The incident was overshadowed by James Roberts’ kick on Ryan Simpkins which went unpunished.
But Parker, who will hang up the boots at the end of the season, could come in for attention from the NRL match review committee.
The incident occurred in the 57th minute, with Parker swinging his head in James’ direction and making contact as the pair attempted to pack a scrum.
The Broncos play the loser of the Storm-Cowboys qualifying final in a sudden-death clash next weekend.
