According to Sam Burgess, Adam Reynolds’ time for his Origin debut has arrived.

Speaking on Saturday Triple M NRL, the Rabbitohs enforcer reckons Reynolds is the man whose name should be read out on Monday.
“He’s been playing as well as he can and what Adam can do as well as defend really well, which Origin is all about, is getting repeat sets,” Burgess said.
“That what’s you need from a half at Origin level."
While Laurie Daley has a known preference for pre-established combinations - In 2013 it was the all-Roosters pairing of Mitch Pearce and James Maloney while in the successful 2014 series it was an all-Dogs pairing in Josh Reynolds and Trent Hodkinson, one of the other knocks on Reynolds is that he doesn’t run enough. Burgess thinks that’s down to opportunity.

“As forwards we probably haven’t given him much opportunity to run as we should have,” he said.
“The last few weeks have seen more of him running and he’s certainly practising his running game more at training. I think it’s one of the things that we’ll see progress in time.
“I think he’s ready; the pressure certainly won’t phase him - as you saw against Parramatta. He had 25,000 people screaming at him and he managed to slot the winning goal right between the sticks.
“I think he’s ready, but in saying that I don’t want to put any pressure on him.”
