Having crossed for fourteen tries so far this season, the Canberra flyer's surname has become a regular part of the rugby league soundscape but it turns out we've all been saying it wrong.
Here's how it's actually meant to be said.
So there you go, I can only imagine the anger of Rapana's mother over the past few years as she's regularly heard her son's surname mispronounced.
Rapana is the joint-second highest try scorer this season with fourteen four-pointers and has continued on from his fine form in 2016 which saw him bag 23 tries.
He's managed to play five games for his native New Zealand over the past two years too with his Kiwi heritage likely behind why us Aussies have all been saying Rapana incorrectly.
