Parramatta Eels v New Zealand Warriors: team lists, odds, TV channel image

Finally, it won't be the Newcastle Knights featuring in Friday night footy, instead fans get to watch a trans-Tasman rivalry with the Parramatta Eels taking on the New Zealand Warriors.

Both teams will be heading into their round eleven clash desperate for a win, but for very different reasons.

The Eels are languishing at the bottom of the NRL ladder with just two wins all season, while the Warriors are third, but were walloped and kept scoreless by the Roosters in front of their home fans.

ANZ Stadium better known as the home of rugby league will play host to the two teams.

HOW TO WATCH THE EELS AND THE WARRIORS?

The Friday 6:00pm slot means many may miss the start of the game on their way home from Friday work drinks.

But for those who can, check out Fox League (Channel 502) for coverage of the game. NRL Tonight kicks off at 5:00pm and will be followed by NRL Friday Night Footy up until kick off.

Channel Nine's free-to-air broadcast will only cover the later Brisbane/Roosters clash.

For those who don't have Foxtel or not attending the game, never fear - your local pub/club will come to your aid.

There is also the NRL live pass which is free for Telstra mobile customers and $3.99 per week for everyone else.

CAN I WATCH IT OVERSEAS?

Fox Sports and the NRL have teamed up to launch Watch NRL for footy fans living overseas (assuming overseas isn't New Zealand or the Pacific Territories). The service, which can be accessed through the app, the website or using Airplay/Chromecast, will deliver all of the games of the 2018 NRL season, State of Origin, Test matches played on home soil, ISC games and a live stream of the Fox Footy channel.

IS IT STREAMING ON THE RADIO?

ABC Grandstand, Triple M and 2GB will all continue their respective coverage, but the news for 2018 is the emergence of NRL Nation .

Previously, regional listeners were lucky to hear a game - but not anymore.

WHAT TIME IS THE GAME ON?

The game kicks off at 6:00pm AEDT and 8:00pm in Auckland, but if you’re keen on a preview, Fox League will have live coverage from 5:00pm for all the team news and strategy breakdowns.

DO THE WARRIORS EVER WIN AT ANZ?

It's not the best record despite having to cross the Tasman. The Warriors have played 20 games at ANZ Stadium for a return of just six wins and 11 losses. Interestingly, they've had three draws at the venue. The Eels won their only head to head clash at Homebush in 2017.

THE WARRIORS' ROUND ELEVEN SIDE

1 Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (c), 2 David Fusitu'a, 3 Peta Hiku, 4 Solomone Kata, 5 Ken Maumalo, 6 Blake Green, 7 Mason Lino, 8 Bunty Afoa, 9 Issac Luke, 10 Agnatius Paasi, 16 Isaiah Papali'i, 12 Tohu Harris, 13 Adam Blair

Interchange: 14 Jazz Tevaga, 15 Chris Satae, 16 James Gavet, 17 Simon Mannering,

Reserves: 18 Gerard Beale, 19 Karl Lawton, 20 Albert Vete, 21 Anthony Gelling

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WARRIORS LOSE?

The Warriors are currently sitting in third place on 14 points on the ladder, equal with the Panthers and one win behind the ladder-leading Dragons. However, lose and things could change very quickly for the Kiwi side. There are five teams right below them on 12 points all ready to pounce, meaning if they lose, they could finish the week on the edge of the eight.

PARRAMATTA'S ROUND ELEVEN SIDE

1 Clint Gutherson (c), 2 Bevan French, 3 Michael Jennings, 4 Brad Takairangi, 5 George Jennings, 6 Corey Norman, 7 Mitchell Moses, 8 Daniel Alvaro, 9 Cameron King, 10 Peni Terepo, 11 Beau Scott (c), 12 Tepai Moeroa, 13 Manu Ma'u

Interchange: 14 Will Smith, 15 Suaia Matagi, 16 David Gower, 17 Marata Niukore

Reserves: 18 Josh Hoffman, 19 Siosaia Vave, 20 Jaeman Salmon, 21 Raymond Stone

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE EELS LOSE?

It can't get any worse. The Eels are currently sitting last on the NRL ladder and don't look like moving up anytime soon.

WHAT ARE THE ODDS THAT WILL WIN ME SOME CASH?

The Eels are the outsiders, currently at $2.10 on Ladbrokes, but could cause an upset at home on the back of the Warriors patchy form. The New Zealand side are $1.73 favourites.

WHAT STATS CAN I USE FOR A BET ON THE GAME?

- The Eels average just 14.6 points per game, but have conceded 22.6 per game in 2018. However, the Warriors average 19.8 points per game and concede 19 points per game.

- Parramatta leads the head-to-head battle with 21 wins to Penrith's 17, and add a draw in there too.

- Both sides are coming off losses in round ten.

- If fit, Shaun Johnson will play his 150th game this week.

- David Fusitu'a has 11 tries this season, sitting only behind Josh Addo-Carr.
