Though committed to a move to Sydney in 2018, Cronk is yet to make a call on his playing future as he tosses up whether to hang up the boots in favour of simply being a coach and pundit.
With a number of clubs circling the 33-year-old in the hope he'll keep playing, it seems they'll be left in the dark at least a little longer.
"The idea was to let the Origin unfold, get through that, so let's just say now I've got some time up my sleeve to do some thinking," Cronk said on Sky Sports Big Sports Breakfast.
"No, there's no timeline.
"I really haven't engaged in any conversations up until this point.
"I'll work out those conversations and if I want to play on in the next period of time.
"There's a little bit of thinking to do."
If he was to play on, Cronulla and Newcastle have already been heavily linked with Canterbury now reportedly in the hunt for his signature.
