Sydney Roosters legend Brad Fittler believes props Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Dylan Napa didn't pull their weight during the Roosters 29-16 loss to the Cowboys on Saturday night.

Up against a rampant Jason Taumalolo, who himself made 21 runs for a total of 236 metres, the Sydney duo struggled in comparison making just 12 runs between them.

Having called out Taumalolo in the lead up to the game, both props failed to deliver on the night with Fittler particularly disappointed with their performances.

"They ran for 86m and 57m," Fittler said on Channel Nine's Sunday Footy Show.

"They just weren’t in the game. There was no aggression. They weren’t coming off the line.

"I didn’t see them take it to the Cowboys at all.

"The Roosters just waited for that last 10 minutes to try and steal the game, but it just wasn’t there, it was the other side.

"There was no pressure. There was no pressure from kicking. There was no pressure from people coming out of the line.

"Every time Morgan kicked, there was no pressure.”

While lacking the necessary offensive and defensive aggression, the Roosters were also undone by a host of errors, 13 in total, that gave the Cowboys a crucial edge as the game progressed.

North Queensland will now face Melbourne Storm in the grand final next Sunday at ANZ Stadium with another prop in the form of Matt Scott pushing for a remarkable return from injury
