Josh Jackson has been cleared to play for New South Wales in the State of Origin decider against Queensland after the NRL judiciary downgraded his dangerous throw charge on Wednesday.
The Canterbury Bulldogs forward was penalised with a grade two dangerous throw on Jamie Soward during Saturday's NRL contest against Penrith Panthers.
However, an NRL judiciary panel lowered the charge to a grade one, meaning Jackson will be unable to play in Canterbury's clash with Melbourne Storm on Monday, but will be available for New South Wales coach Laurie Daley for the Origin game-three decider in Brisbane on July 8.
"It's never good to miss any footy, but it's great to have the chance to be selected again," Jackson said.
"We took the plea on a grade-one charge. It wasn't a good tackle. I've been penalised for it. Hopefully I can adjust my technique in the future.
"I was pretty concerned. You don't like to miss any footy. I was in with a chance of missing three games for the Bulldogs and a possible Origin game."
