Martina Hingis rolled back the years as she claimed a third Wimbledon women's doubles title with partner Sania Mirza, the duo coming from a set down to secure success.
The 1997 singles champion produced an impressive final service game to seal the 5-7 7-6 (7-4) 7-5 victory under the Centre Court roof on Saturday, giving her a first title at the All England Club in 17 years.
Hingis and Mirza – top seeds for the tournament – found themselves in trouble early on as Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina claimed two breaks to take the opening set.
Slowly the former champion came to the fore as her partnership with Mirza began to flourish, the duo levelling the match in a tie-break.
The pair were made to fight for their victory, though, as Makarova and Vesnina raced into a 5-2 lead in the decider.
However, with the crowd firmly behind them, Hingis and Mirza fought back.
A selection of superb groundstrokes and perfectly placed volleys saw them win five successive games and lift the title, leaving Hingis jumping for joy in the middle of Centre Court.
And the Swiss has the chance to claim a second title on Sunday when she faces Alexander Peya and Timea Babos in the mixed doubles final with partner Leander Paes.
