Tennis Australia (TA) has ruled out selecting Bernard Tomic for the Davis Cup later this month after the 22-year-old's outburst at Wimbledon.

In a statement released on Sunday, TA president Steve Healy labelled Tomic's behaviour "unacceptable", while dismissing the player's allegations of a lack of support from the governing body as "misinformed and untrue".

Tomic was furious with TA after his loss to world number one Novak Djokovic at SW19 on Friday, claiming "they are not supporting me, not respecting me" after he was asked to pay for court hire in the lead-up to 2015 Brisbane International in January.

Davis Cup captain Pat Rafter and chief executive Craig Tiley copped the brunt of Tomic's outburst.

"His [Tomic's] behaviour was unacceptable," Healy said.

"Playing for our country is an absolute privilege, and with that privilege comes an obligation to behave appropriately. He didn't.

"The allegations are misinformed and untrue and he publicly derided some outstanding people. We are trying to build a strong culture underpinned by a philosophy of opportunity, not entitlement. This stuff is just not on.

"Hopefully he will learn from this. Our entire tennis community is committed to working hard to help all our players, including Bernard, be the best tennis players, and the best people, they can be."

Australia will face Kazakhstan in Darwin in a Davis Cup quarter-final tie from July 17-19.
