Prized Icon and Classic Uniform finished second and third respectively in the 1600m race with Winx's jockey Hugh Bowman talking down the victory to some extent.
"I wouldn't say its a vintage field she's beaten here today and that's fair to say," Bowman told Channel 7.
"She's beaten much better horses."
Despite some questionable opposition that weren't all suited to the distance, Winx put in a near faultless performance to the delight of Bowman.
"Couldn't have asked for a better return to racing could we," he said.
