Punters got their first look at Winx during her final preparation when she turned out for a trial at Rosehill on Tuesday.
Chris Waller's wonder mare is being set for one final campaign, eyeing off four races in Sydney before one of the all-time great careers comes to an end.
Connections had said the seven-year-old was looking as well as ever despite her advancing years and has shown plenty of keenness in her gallops since claiming a record fourth straight Cox Plate in October.
Racing NSW announced last Friday that Winx will continue her prep with a 900m trial on the course proper at Rosehill and she looked like she hadn't missed a beat.
Despite missing the jump, Winx worked her way up through the field in the late stages of the trial to finish seventh, with regular hoop Hugh Bowman sitting motionless atop her the whole way.

Winx is on track to return to racing in the group two Apollo Stakes at Randwick on February 16.
All going well, she will then tackle three group one races - the Chipping Norton, George Ryder and Queen Elizabeth Stakes - before being retired.
October's Cox Plate triumph took the galloper's incredible winning streak to 29, extending her record to 22 group one successes.
