Three-time Group 1 placegetter Libertini has died following a heart attack during trackwork on Tuesday morning.
The five-year-old mare finished 3rd in the G1 William Reid Stakes, G1 VRC Classic and G1 Coolmore Classic during her career.
Libertini won five of her 16 career starts, including notable victories in the Group 2 Premiere Stakes, where she beat home Everest winner Classique Legend by two lengths back in 2020.
She also won the G2 Silver Shadow Stakes and G2 Furious Stakes, both times as short-priced favourite.
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beautiful mare Libertini who suffered a heart attack this morning at trackwork.
