Friday night racing returns to Moonee Valley this weekend, with the running of the Group 1 Moir Stakes set to headline a bumper night at the track.
The running of the $750,000 event will see some of the country's best sprinters take in action over 1000m.
Coolangatta took out last year's race, while other past winners include Black Caviar, Buffering and Nature Strip.

What is the Moir Stakes?
One of the marquee Victorian sprint races of the spring, the Moir Stakes was first introduced in 1976 and earned Group 1 status in 2013.
The race has floated between 1000 and 1200 metres over the years, but has remained at the current distance for the past eight years.
When is the 2023 Moir Stakes?
This year's Moir Stakes will take place on Friday, 29th September.
The race will be the seventh on an eight-race card at the Valley and is scheduled to jump at 9.15pm AEST.
