The barriers for Tuesday’s Melbourne Cup have been drawn, with race favourite Yucatan to jump from barrier 23.
Yucatan will have a big job to do from 23, which has only produced four winners, and hasn't produced a winner in 18 years. Back in 2000, Brew won from barrier 23.
The all-important barrier draw was held at 6:30pm on Saturday evening after the final 24-horse field for 2018 was confirmed.
Winner of the Lexus Stakes, A Prince of Arran, will jump from barrier 20, Muntahaa drew 13, while second-favourite Magic Circle drew 17.

Punters on Yucatan shouldn't worry as much as others - barrier 18 is yet to produce a winner, while barriers 20 and 22 share just two winners.
However, the reaction of Yucatan's owner Nick Williams said it all.
