Golden Slipper results

Shinzo has taken out the 2023 Golden Slipper, beating home the heavily-favoured Cylinder in a thrilling 1200m race at Rosehill Gardens.

The two-year-old Chris Waller-trained runner was rated a $13 chance with TAB and was aided by a nice inside ride from English jockey Ryan Moore.

One of the other main chances in the race, Learning To Fly, missed the start before losing jockey Chad Schofield on the home straight.

Earlier in the day, superstar Anamoe won his ninth career Group 1 in a gutsy effort in the George Ryder Stakes, while international raider Dubai Honour triumped in the G1 Ranvet Stakes.
