Pre-race favourite Duais has bolted in to win the $1.5 million Tancred Stakes, claiming its third Group 1 in the process.
The four-year-old mare, trained by Edward Cummings, proved far too good for the rest of the field, with jockey Josh Parr biding his time before allowing her to let rip down the straight to win by 3.4 lengths.
Stockman finished in second place, while The Chosen One and Think It Over were a further length or two back at the finish line.
The race - and seven other races originally scheduled for Rosehill on Saturday - were moved to Newcastle on Monday due to poor conditions over the weekend in Sydney.
Duais was rated a $2.50 chance before the race with TAB and looked every bit the horse that punters have become accustomed to, taking her G1 tally to three after previously triumphing in the 2021 Queensland Oaks and 2022 Australian Cup.

In the other Group 1 event on the card on Monday, Fangirl got up in a tight finish over stablemate Hinged in the $500,000 Vinery Stud Stakes.
The pair went toe-to-toe down the straight, with the Chris Waller-trained filly holding on by a narrow margin for jockey Hugh Bowman.

Pre-race favourite Gypsy Goddess, which was previously unbeaten, got too far back in the run to factor into the finish, but was able to fly home for third.
