Winx's owners were thrilled by the news.
"The Tighe, Kepitis, and Treweeke families are ecstatic to announce that the future champion we've all been waiting for has arrived," a statement on Instagram read.
"Both mum and foal are healthy and doing very well.
"Thank you to the amazing team who have cared for Winx and her filly throughout this journey.
"We wish Winx all the best as she starts this new chapter as a super mum."
Winx's successful foal delivery follows a difficult journey that involved the loss of her first foal in 2020.
After retiring in April 2019, it was announced that Winx was in foal to champion stallion I Am Invincible in December of that year.
However, the mare lost her foal just weeks out from the expected birth.
Winx dominated Australian middle-distance racing for four years, notching $26 million in prize money.
The Chris Waller-trained mare claimed 25 Group 1 wins in her enormously successful career.
